I’ve spent my first week back in Kigum visiting dear friends.  We’ve had some wonderful times reuniting and sharing how good God has been to us. We’ve also had some great prayer sessions and time in the Word.

Yesterday we traveled to this village about 2 hours northeast of Kitgum.  Thirteen of us packed into the vehicle, (we gave some a ride home). I had the privilege of teaching the children.  We began at Genesis 1:1 and will work our way through the Bible together. They were very attentive and so bright; we had lots of fun.

We are now in the process of building huts nearby so that we can spend the night each week. This will allow us time to do more ministry the following day. I am looking forward to beginning studies with the many women here and spending more time with the children.
Here you see the children taking their turn on the foot-pump to bring water up into the holding tank. Stair Stepping Kitgum style. A great workout plus lets us have a shower and flushing toilets.  No pain, no gain.

  1. Hi Therese,

Love the update and the beautiful sweet faces. And love your Kitkum stair master. Who says Kitkum doesn't have style.

    Good health and much joy,
    Linda
